Edward's
PROGRAMMERS'
AVENUE
personal development website
Only the links in the green area are currently up..
This site is designed at my home for personal development
such as setting it up on my own web server setup.
I have hosted it at home in the past on Apache Tomcat, Apache II, and IIS.
Not sure if Java Glassfish was the name of another server but I remember trying to learn it.
What editing these pages does for me is remind me to
increase my versatility with html and css coded pages
and study server side and client side scripting.
I have learned some technologies that are a bit outdated and plan to,
in a self-paced way, make my skills more current with modern technologies.
Examples:
- ASP very outdated, try ASP.NET JSP
- not sure if JSP is being used anymore because it has been so long
- PHP
- of course the newer ways to use Javascript
- then maybe see where other languages fit into this like...
- Python
- is Perl still a thing ?
- whatever else comes up
